Jackhammers Rebate Program

The Huskies try to provide as much assistance to our membership as possible to help offset the cost of this expensive sport that we all have grown to love! To add to the list of options, we are happy to announce the Jackhammers Rebate Program.

The Jackhammers are a minor league baseball team that plays out of Silver Cross Stadium in Joliet. They offer a fundraising program for clubs such as ours where members sign up to work the concession stands at both Silver Cross Stadium and the First Midwest Center (formerly the Tweeter Center). The Huskies then receive a percentage of the sales taken in during the times when our members worked. Instead of keeping that money, the Huskies will apply it to the hockey fees for those members who participated in the program by working at the stands.

Anyone who plans to participate MUST attend an alcohol awareness class (TIPS) class. Upon completeion, you will receive a certification card that you must keep with you at all times while working at these events

What would I be doing? Working the concession stands at the stadium.
Is training required? YES. All participants MUST attend a TIPS class which is an alcohol awareness class in order to qualify. (This class if free and is good for 3 years).
How do I sign up? Games will be listed on the Huskies web site and you can sign up for hours that fit your schedule.
How much will I earn? Earnings depend on the total amount of money the club earns and how many hours you worked. Once the club receives that money, it will be divided by the total number of hours worked resulting in a per/hour amount.
How will I get the money? Rebate money will be available by the end of October. Since fall season contract signing is done in September, any money earned will be applied or sent to members in late October
What if I sign up and don't show? The Huskies will be fined for no-shows and risk being removed from the program. If you sign up for a specific time/day and cannot make it, you must notify the program director at least 48 hours in advance.
Will I be reminded of my scheduled times? No, the schedule will be posted on line for you to check at any time, but no reminder calls will be made.
What do I wear? Jackhammers - Khaki pants/shorts and Jackhammers shirt ($10). First Midwest Center - Khaki pants/shorts and you will be given a shirt upon arrival.
